Tinnitus masking sound therapy was designed to lessen the discomfort of those suffering from tinnitus, or “ringing in the ears”. Many sufferers find that a noise that covers (or “masks”) their tinnitus distracts their attention from the tinnitus itself, providing some relief. The BeHear app can be used to customize the masking noise that is generated to provide the most comfortable experience. This feature is currently available in BeHear ACCESS Model II and BeHear SMARTO.
To determine if you have ACCESS Model II, check for a round green sticker on the box and the inside of the neckband, and/or check the Information / Version section of the BeHear app for Hardware Version 2.0.2 and Release Version F2xx.
